New Acquisition: Fantastic Golden Lacquer Boxes

Galerie Kommoss is offering some new fantastic golden maki-e lacquer boxes. All are different and we cannot decide which one is the most beautiful. Is it the tea caddy made by Ichigo Itchô 一后一兆 (1898-1991) who sprinkled fine gold and aokin (alloy of gold and silver) on the black polished surface to evoke the landscape of distant mountains; or is it the more modern piece by female artist Mitsuji Setsuri with a motif of an abstract forest in a autumn moon night; or might the luxurious Meiji-period piece with a flock of cranes finshed in takamaki-e catch your interest?
