A simple yet beautiful tea caddy in the style of "Old Shigaraki" (ko-shigaraki) made by Ueda Juhō (*1925). He was chosen 1979 by the Japanese Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry as official master in Shigaraki pottery. He was exhibited in Japan on countless national shows. In 2008 he was rewarded the "Order of the Sacred Treasure, 6th rang" (Zuihō-shō 瑞宝章). Next to Takahashi Rakusai IV and Ueda Naokata IV he is one of the famous Shigaraki masters.
